Mountain lake & high moor: Lake Filzalm on Hochbrixen
Lake Filzalm (1,300 m), known locally as the Filzalmsee, is a popular spot with walkers in Hochbrixen. Its charming Alpine scenery and rare animals and plants are waiting to be explored by young and old along panoramic walking trails. Right next to Lake Filzalm you’ll find a biotope with viewing boxes and nature discovery stations revealing secrets from the underwater world. Also for our young hikers, there is a giant sand pit with lots of great surprises! The themed hiking paths, “Giant’s Pass”, “Giant’s Way” and “Giant’s Forest”, also have countless attractions to keep you amused
Taking care of your health and wellbeing too are Kneipp stations with moor mud paddling pools and wading pools. The mountain inns around the lake indulge guests with typical specialities from the region.
In addition, a several centuries-old farmhouse, equipped with modern conference facilities, provides a venue for seminars and training courses amidst the mountains of Hochbrixen.
